Wizards at Nuggets

It is very likely that Juan DIxon and Caron Butler will not be available tonight as the Wizards continue a four-game road trip at Denver. Dixon aggravated his achilles tendon against the Clippers the other night while Bulter continues to be bothered by tightness in that hamstring.

The absence of Dixon and Butler would leave the Wizards with nine healthy players as they face another back-to-back.

We know what Vegas thinks of tonight's game because the Nuggets have been installed as 13 point favorites.

JAMISON is as good at what he does as ARENAS is in his area. But you've got to play solid defense to win in this league. JAMISON just doesn't. It's a disservice to his game to ask him to. He can't.

This team was built with the idea of outscoring the opposition not defending the opposition. All five members must be hitting on all eight cylinders each and every night to do so. Missing even one starter handicaps the overall game. I believe it is a fallacious strategy.

Missing three (right now, four) is losing to LOS BARBEROS (Barbers - CLIPPERS), and the result is ARRIBA ABAJO (the top of the bottom) which is where this year is headed.

None of the players are responsible for the franchise's developmental and stratigic decisions. And I'm not holding ANY of them accountable. I'm holding OWNERSHIP accountable.

It seems that Taps is trying to lose as many games as possible. Maybe the League should investigate his coaching decisions?

Is it just me, but does anybody else think that the coverage of March Madness sucks. Why doesn't CBS channel flip more from game to game and show more in game highlights as they are happening.

And why does it seem that there is no excitement.

I remember that one year that ESPN had March Madness, the coverage was electric.

Maybe it's just me.

Good Game. Like the body language.

Larry -- it is just you regarding coverage. If you wanted to see more action -- get DirectTV and March Madness package -- then you can watch all the action or whatever action you want. Regional TV coverage of March Madness is and never was intended to provide all coverage of every game. And if CBS switched a bunch from game to game, that woudl be very annoying.

If you want highlights -- watch sportscenter.

Isn't it obvious by now that Pecherov should be getting 35 minutes a game, and that the offense should be run through him? He is a combination of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and World B. Free, all rolled up into one awesome player. World B. Pecherov.

What about us? We're the idiots who follow the team, after all.

Sorry, but that's a flawed approach to building a team, assuming you are correct.

No team in recent NBA history has every won anything without having a solid nucleus that not only has solid individual defenders, but also plays exceptional team D.

Don't let people off the hook by saying "they can't play defense." Defense is almost all heart. You have to want to play D. Even if you are limited, you still have to foul or get physical.

If you have players, especially captains/leaders, that only focus on offense, then you're just setting a bad precedence or tone for the team.

You just repeated what he said.

How can ownership prevent injuries to its stars???

The Wizzies can't do anything but just try to build the rest of the team by letting them get experience and resting CB & AJ. Playing those 2 40+/game is STUPID at this point.
There isn't any team that could overcome what the Wizzies have been through with injuries to its star, big man & starting SG.
Take out Parker, Ginoblli & Duncan and what would Popovich do????

You can't prevent injuries to NBA stars that's why you have to have a solid core of great defensive players instead of the reverse. Without defense you get today's WIZARDS not offense AND no defense.

And babbtong:

Really, thank you. I guess some folks don't know what "fallacious means." Did I spell it correctly? PERICULUM, help.
