Butler's Redemption

Wizards forward Caron Butler threw a strike today at Nationals Park. As Michael Lee said yesterday, "For the past two years, Butler has had to explain his horrendous first pitch before a game against Cleveland in June 2007."

Here's how Caron responded today (via Dan Steinberg and Jonathan Forsythe):

It's too bad nobody was there to see it :(

...I actually happened to be there and saw it today. It was the highlight of the afternoon, that and AD's homerun; the Nats are horrible. A stiff in left field, a slow weak armed catcher and defensively challenged up the middle. There were about 150 people in their seats when CB threw his pitch. The game started at 12:30, so most people didnt arrive until shortly thereafter and missed it. I forgot how tall CB is, compared to normal sized people...

Great pitch by Caron, but absolutely no form whatsoever for a professional athlete. Where was the windup?

How come Caron throws a baseball like he is throwing a dart? Caron pitches as poorly as Barkley golfs.

It's a good thing he doesn't play bball like he throws. It's like he's shooting the baseball the way the flicks his wrist. Not good.
We need a pitcher, not a belly itcher.

Come on, Strasburg !

Terrible form -- does not rear back and throw -- aims the ball. Can tell he never played baseball growing up.

Ugly form on the pitch.
My wife throws better than that.
He should quit that game while he's ahead. Amazing that he got it in there with that wimpy throw.
I'm embarrassed for him.
