'Remembering Abe' set for 7 p.m. Dec. 8
Washington Sports and Entertainment has released a few more details about Abe Pollin's public memorial service. From the news release:
On Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at seven o'clock in the evening the Washington Wizards and Washington Sports & Entertainment will host an open public memorial for Abe Pollin, who passed away on Tuesday, November 24th at the age of 85. In the words of some of those that were closest to Abe Pollin, 'Remembering Abe' will pay tribute to the sportsman, businessman, philanthropist and family man in the 'House That Abe Built'; Verizon Center, in the heart of the nation's capital. The memorial event is free and open to the public. Donations can also be made in his honor to Abe's Table c/o Wizards Care.
