You get the feeling he just doesn't want to be here? At least, certainly not the top of his list. I got the sense during his postgame interview on Weds that this was a one and done. What a shame as it felt like for once we got a break on talent.

When Wiz offered him contract for "the reminder of the season," they should've throw in next year's and see if he would have signed that!

he does not want to be here, not sure how much more obvious he can make it.

whether it's because of Gilbert's position with the team, a desire to go west, or a combination of both who knows.

and part of a good GMs job is to change his mind without offering a foolish contract

Working out in LA or chicago. That means hes looking to be backup to derrick rose, baron davis, or taking Derek Fisher's spot on the lakers.

grover's joint is in chicago right? let's send AB/JM there all summer to convince him to stay...and get their butts in shape.

and how about a mini-mosque in the VC locker room? whatever it takes to get Dream here for a few weeks, dray would soak up those post moves like a sponge

I would love to have him back. In fairness, from his perspective, what would he come back here to? Who is the Team? The locker room must have been hell. The overall record for the last two years is awful...

He doesn't want to be here, then see ya! We don't need any players on this team that really doesn't want to play here. We saw what happened with Butler, Jamison and Haywood. No production and a lot of me ball! I say let him go. It's funny that before the Wizards called on him, no one else would give him a chance. Where was he exactly before coming here? Now, he is too good for this team. Later Livingston, we can do without you. You "ain't" all that.

Here is a trivia, if Wiz sign Livingston and Howard, and retain Gilbert to man the 1, 2, 3 positions, how many good knees do they have?

Posted by: sagaliba

LOL, funny... Answer: Gil 1 + Livingston 1 + Howard 0 = 2

I have posted on this blog that Livingston did not seem happy here when I was watching him play on his first 10 day contract. I also posted that he not resign here next year. I have been posting this even longer than you and this has been your MO for some time now. You are probably right but take the 2 leading teams.
Bulls, Livingston don’t really fit into there system and would get in the way of Rose penetration and to back-up Rose you are talking 14 min per night. How much would Chicago pay for that player when they still have Kirk Hen? Who also can fill that position. LA Lakers or Clips. I think Livingston story has worn out the fans over there, because of his once promising career then turn bad because of health. Also the Lakers will not offer that much and K. Bryant likes to post his man these last few years. It’s kind of hard to play when both guards does the exact same thing.
So he may resign here simply because of default.

But lets say Livington does not sign here, I thing the Wiz should look at that kid out of Maryland Geris Vaz., I think its extremely important to find a player along side Gil if we are stuck with him for 4 years.. Sorry to say SL fits that player to a "T".

Shaun is being a smart businessman. He'd be a fool to get all mush-mouthed and start mumbling something about "this is my first choice, they gave me a chance, blah, blah, blah". The Wizards' chances of re-signing him are just as good as anybody else's. Everybody sees how he moves on defense when he has to react to man in front him, so nobody's breaking the bank on this guy. Everybody just take a deep breath and let this whole thing play out.

Would you wanna be here? I don't blame the guy for wanting the best for himself. I think the Wizards should still court him though. Unless we land a legit PG in the draft.

If SL walks and we don't get John Wall, then I give up.

It is almost like a bird in hand and a 2nd one in the bush.

Like damn, I can't hold on to the one in my hand and the one in the bush just flies away.

Ted can't take over quick enough. Is anyone's in's control's round's here???

SL is not wade or LJ or kobe.If he has to go some where it is fine.Wiz can find a better spark PG from the second round.I am not trying to put his talent down to second round but in reality your second PG has to spark the team by pushing the ball fast, scoring some balls behind the arc and /or capitalizing the defensive deficency.SL is an excellent half court PG, probably a starting cliber if his knee hold for 82 games. In the presence of GA his value is not going to be better than the value we could get from a secnd round or late 1st round PG.GA is not going to play as SG, he is too small to defend most SG's, we also know his willingness to play defense and his rotation ablity. The sole reason we need SL is to share arenas minutes and to give him more minutes in some games when arenas is off.Money should be either MLE for a year or two or 15 milion for 3 years depending on what he need. He might take short term contract to increase his value in free agency world. We will see.
Please do not sin foye.
