I think we're past "likely". Flip's in love for sure.

19yrs old? Could this kid possibly be any better? Obviously it all happens on the court, but the Wiz are getting a player that absolutely looks and sounds like a franchise altering cornerstone.

GOTTA LOVE IT

Wall is definitely poised and mature beyond his years. Had to laugh out loud when he allowed that one of the plusses of LA is lots of beautiful women. At least we know the guy is not a robot.

hey Mike

What do you think about this?

-Wiz trade No.1 pick(john wall) and No.35 pick to Cav for LBJ sign and trade ( so he can get max)
-Wiz trade No.30 pick and Blache to Rap for Bosh sign and trade
-Wiz resign Miller and Howard

2010 Wizs..Arenas, Miller, LBJ, Bosh, Howard, Mcgee

The more I hear this little dude talk, the more I love him. Seems like a great guy and a hard worker. Reminds me of Gil in that way, a gymn rat. Wall Baby! Hopefully, the Wiz brass don't screw this one up. nI am not going to believe nothing until draft day but I don't think the Wiz ought to be passing up on this guy.

Real Wiz fans don't want Lebron, the whiner here in this area. That dude is a jerk and I don't see him winning no ring, no time soon with his jacked up me first, egotistical attitude. You see how he is f...king with his own hometown, you can almost guess how he will treat the next place he goes. King my arse, dude got game but he is just as mortal as the next man.
I am sick to death of hearing about this whiny jerk. Enough already!

Yeah, why do I suddenly get the feeling that Gil and Wall are going to spend a lot of time in the gym together?

Maybe it will work out and he can mature the kid.....and by that I mean maybe Wall can help Arenas mature.

Grunfeld was on the Mike Wise show this morning and made it pretty clear they intend for Arenas to be in a Wiz uniform this season. Second, he said that all THREE draft picks would make the roster given that the Wiz only have 6 under contract with 3 other RFA's that they could resign. When prompted, he admitted the Wiz would be $19M under the salary cap after signing the rookie draft picks.

At no point did he mention or even commit that the Wiz would attempt to sign any FA's, let alone big names. It sounds more like he may sign a veteran FA to the MLE or possibly re-sign Howard to a one-year incentive laden deal. Expect the Wiz to be back in the lottery again next year as it doesn't appear that Grunfeld is looking to sign any veteran FA who would make the team more competitive like a Carlos Boozer or Rudy Gay.

hopefully Gil doesnt start whispering the "yeah, they love you now but just wait" crap in wall's ear. just sayin

Loving this kid. I think he will do great in DC. Some of us are still thinking the Wiz will screw this up by trading the pick or draft someone else. Ted will not allow that to happen. Wall is coming to DC period.

For fun, what would you think Wes had done if he was still GM for the Bullet/Wiz? My guess, he would trade our overall pick and 30th pick to the Suns for Steve Nash.

Whether you like him or not, the one thing I have learned about EG is that he keeps things very close to the chest. If he was planning something big for free agency, you're not going to hear about it now with free agency still a month away. Some of that is being smart, some of that is EG being EG.

All things considered, I'm sure he'd rather have that crap in his ear instead of Gil's excreta in his sneakers. Wall strikes me as already being more of a no-nonsense guy than Gil is now and should be able to figure things out just fine moving forward.

He seems more personable and media savvy than Derrick Rose.
He also strikes me as more affable than Rajon Rondo.

Right now there ain't much to nitpick about with this guy.

That's giving Wes too much credit. Nash still has something left in the tank. Wes would trade our picks as part of a sign-and-trade for Shaq.

I continue to think that Wall has to be the guy at #1, even though I loved Turner's game all year. I just hope they get a big guy who could bench press Javale, too.

Need that physical guy who can set the hard picks make defenders work even harder to stay in front of Wall. Plus, you need the guy to get tough rebounds and outlet the ball to Wall.

I'm still on the same soap box I've been on for months. Hoping that Gani Lawal will be that guy for the Wiz.

the addition of boozer or gay will make them in a bad position for lotery.37 games at most.is that a good move? if AJ and CB won 19 games, do you expect gay or boozer win it all? You do not rebuild like that.If you are talking about the 2008 boston, they had the nucleus when they add KG and RA.PP, the best defenssive center and a high basketball IQ PG.
