About half the respondents said 30-40 wins. I was in that category too, but expecting a result in the low 30s. Definitely a scrappy rebuilding team, not a lot of illusions or pretensions.

Gilbert leads in scoring if his knee holds together.

I think so much of the Wiz chances that I bought stock in the Knicks (MSG actually)--although the Knicks should kind of stink too. Did you know you can buy stock in the Knicks? (bet you didn't). But I didn't buy nearly enough shares to shift my allegiance from our local heroes.

My guess is less than 20 wins. I'm actually very positive about Wall and the direction this team is taking, as well as the improved play of Blatche and McGee, but the Wizards are still one more lottery pick away from the playoffs. And Wall is a year or two away from maturity. In the meantime, way too much is resting on fragile knees (Arenas and Howard) and the even more fragile sanity of the artist formerly known as Agent Zero. I don't agree with the Winshares site prediction of 6-12 wins; I see 18 or 19.

The Wiz could/can be very good. The one glaring weakness they have yet to address is a big man coach. How difficult is it to call McHale and tell him to work with McGee. This is Ernie and Flips downfault. As soon as the season ended this should have been done. This really ticks me off they haven't even done this for training camp. Oh well what a waste.
